Hey guys,
Just wondering what your favorite European horror director is?
Mine are:
1.) Lenzi 2.) Fulci 3.) D'Amato

I must be honest. There are so many GREAT European directors and it would be easier to pick from movie to movie as some are incredible and some are shit. I have seen films from all 3 directors and I will say that Fulci is overrated but can be enjoyable almost all of the time. Lenzi is insane for cannibal flicks I have already seen two (Man from Deep River and Cannibal Ferox) and am waiting to see "Eaten Alive". Don't be confused with the Tobe Hooper film of the same name. Joe D'Amato... the thing about him is that 95% of his work is porn; with titles like "Porno Holocaust" and The Erotic adventures of...(insert any random name). But he did make the legendary "Antropophagus". Lets look through his body of work and maybe find something valuable. My favorite European director is Dario Argento. I like 70% of his films, and that ain't bad. Ossorio is another one many people seem to like. He's famous for the 'Blind Dead' films. Argento pic below

welcome to the forum man ! I'm not sure where I stand on Bava yet, need to see more of his films. Which would you guys reccommend ? I remember watching Black Sunday or Black something, the one that had three tales in one. In my opinion it wasn't that great. Black Sabbath, maybe that was the title?
And I really dig Hitchcock.

Hey Dave,
Welcome to the boards. Bava is indeed one of my favorites. His son, Lamberto, will be at the Fango Con this April in LA, and I'm fan of his stuff as well.
Sharkface, what's up with that name? Is there some strange story behind it?
